Swingshift
has been around for about 10 years playing many
venues in Southern California and outlying areas.
Swingshift combines a tasty blend of East Coast,
West Coast, and Texas swing, as well as standard
and classic Country music. With one of the best
fiddle players west of the Mississippi, Swingshift
wows them all with Bluegrass, Cajun, and contemporary
country and swing music. Their excellent vocals
and three part harmonies add fullness to an already
powerful show. Swingshift also has a great selection
of classic rock and roll to please just about
everyone.
Members
of the group are:
ED
RIENER; ACOUSTIC GUITAR, LEAD AND BACKUP VOCALS
Ed Riener was born in Philadelphia, hooked
on blues and swing. He has worked with Willy Nelson
and Delbert McClinton in Austin, TX. Influenced
by Ray Benson of Asleep At The Wheel, Ed put together
Swingshift in 1993.
PAUL
MCINTIRE; FIDDLE
Paul is a seasoned professional with decades of
varied experience. He creates a unique blend of
artistic expression, technical prowess and audience
appeal. His extensive repertoire encompasses a
diverse collection of musical styles. From his
native California, across the United States, Europe,
and Asia, Paul has shared his music to many people
with his instrumental passion.
ALLEN
ADAMS: DRUMS, LEAD AND BACKUP VOCALS
Allen is one of the most solid drummers in America
today. He recorded the drum track for the band
“Steam” on their hit “Na NA, Hey Hey Hey, Goodbye”.

ART
HOLLAND; LEAD GUITAR, VOCALS, SMILES
He works non-stop, having been in great musical
demand for over 30 years. Art's talents have led
him to many star-studded shows. Over the years,
Art has played with members of Santana, Oingo
Boingo, Crosby Stills & Nash, The Beach Boys,
The Desert Rose Band, Dolly Parton, Boy Howdy,

DANNY
OTT; LEAD GUITAR, VOCALS
“Ott comes off as a guitar hero of the first degree,
able to serve up everything from flashing acoustic
runs to notes that fall like teardrops on a honky-tonk
floor. A marvelous player, he has more delicious
tones and shadings at his disposal than a gambling
cheat has face cards...his sizzling soloing simultaneously
rings like a bell and tears like a saw.” -Mike
Boehm Los Angeles Times
JESSE
WEGNER; BASS
Jesse was born with a bass in his hands. He has
played with just about everybody. He never smiles,
and there’s a reason he wears sunglasses. When
asked if he can play a tune, Jesse replies, “Can
you hum a few bars?” But before you can do that,
he already knows the song.
